ABOUT LAUREN WILLIAMS

Lauren Williams, the visionary behind Lauren Jayne Design, launched her interior design career over 20 years ago and is known for her keen eye for detail and passion for creating timeless and inviting spaces. A common thread of soft lines, natural materials and refined textures are seamlessly integrated throughout Lauren’s projects.

At a young age, Lauren cultivated her creative instincts through projects alongside the women in her family. Her childhood was a constant source of inspiration and paved the way for her future career. Lauren’s mother, Jayne, was an artist and her aunt was an interior designer. From collaborating with her mother on a variety of crafts and home renovations to playing in her aunt’s office and dreaming up interiors, Lauren’s fondest memories continue to influence her work today.

Prior to founding her eponymous studio, Lauren was a designer at Meyer Davis. She contributed to various projects such as 1 Hotel South Beach and W Hotel Chicago, along with a mix of restaurant and lounge designs. While at Meyer Davis, she played a pivotal role in the interior design of the 1 Hotel South Beach, shaping the interior’s standards for new locations to follow. Her work with 1 Hotel, from its inception with Meyer Davis to her on-site role under Lauren Jayne Design, offered a unique hands-on experience. As the 1 Hotel continued to develop, Lauren collaborated with multiple artisans in the field and tested prototypes overseas with vendors to ensure the integrity of the design was not lost along the way. Before joining Meyer Davis in 2009, Lauren worked at firms MarkZeff and Victoria Hagan.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Pratt Institute and an Associate in Fashion Design from the Art Institute of Miami. She has earned industry recognition for her design work, including being named one of the top ‘Seven Interior Designers to Watch’ and has been featured in Architectural Digest, Business Insider, Casa Vogue, Domino Magazine, Forbes, Homes & Gardens and others. Outside of work hours, you can catch her on the ski slopes, riding the waves or somewhere fully immersed in the great outdoors.
